Professional Drummer and Vocalist Blake Windal is a scholarship recipient and graduate in "performance" from Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as scholarship recipient from Interlochen Center for the Arts andformer student at the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood. A live performer, as well as a working session musician in Los Angeles, Boston and Paris, Windal's diverse and soul-filled playing catches one's ear consistently through the various styles he plays on a myriad of different records.

In addition to singing lead vocals and playing drums on his own albums, Windal has worked extensively with French artist Benoit Michel, as well as producer/engineer, Eric "E.T." Thorngren (Cindy Lauper, Robert Palmer, TheTalking Heads) and can heard be on Thorngren's recent production for recording artist Lisa Cannon. The album, 12 Stories Under the Sun, features Windal on drums and backing vocals playing with other L.A. session greats Bart Samolis, John Molo (of Bruce Hornsby's band - The Range), Laurence Juber, Richard Greene, Greg Mathieson, Steve Reid, and the Waters.

Blake has also recorded and worked extensively with accomplished Songwriter and Producer and performer Sander Selover, who is known for his work with Madonna, Lionel Richie, Aaron Neville, Aerosmith, Jeremy Lubbock and Hanson. Most recently, Blake recorded with Sander on his work for Ozzy Osbourne.

In addition to his performing interests, Windal has shown a strong commitment to spirituality and human rights in the Global Community, having produced benefit concerts and events for worthy causes such as Amnesty International and the National Academy of Songwriters, where he worked with, and featured artists and songwriters including Jackson Browne, Glenn Philips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Colin Hay (Men at Work), John Bettis (Michael Jackson), Andy Goldmark (Michael Bolton), and Terry Steele (Luther VanDross). His graduate education includes studies at the University of California, Los Angeles in Independent Record Distribution and Contract Administration in the music industry.

Windal, a native of Athens, Georgia, U.S.A., is endorsed by D Drum electronic drums, plays Pearl (Session Elite) acoustic drums and Zildjian cymbals.
